RETURN OF THE TICKETS AT THE TICKET OFFICE OF ANOTHER COUNTRY

GROUP TICKETS

ILLNESS OR ACCIDENT

COMMISSION FEES 

PAPER TICKET

If a ticket is not used fully or partly, passenger may submit the ticket back to ticket office and get the refund:

  • full cost of ticket and place card - not later than 24 hours prior to train`s departure;
  • full cost of ticket and 50% of cost of place card - after 24 hours but not later than 6 hours prior to train`s departure;
  • only full cost of ticket - 6 hours prior, but not later than 1 hour prior to train`s departure;
  • cost of ticket with the uncovered distance without the cost of a place card, if a trip is discontinued at any of railway route stations in 3 hour upon arrival of the train, which the passenger was travelling by.

 

Service fee is fully refunded, if the journey was not started.

E-TICKET                            

 

It is possible to return an e-ticket at LDZ ticket office.

The passenger can return e-ticket (if the ticketless journey option is not cancelled) any time, but not later than one hour before train departure from initial station of its route.

If the passenger has cancelled ticketless journey, return of the tickets not used for the journey can be done any time before departure of the train or not later than 1 hour after the train departure from the passenger’s boarding station.

       RETURN TIME AND REFUND

When the ticket not used for the journey is returned at LDZ ticket office, to client bank account is to be transferred:

  • full cost of ticket and place/berth card, if the ticket not used for the journey was returned not later than 24 hours before the train’s departure;
  • full cost of ticket and 50% of cost of place/berth card, if the ticket not used for the journey was returned 24 hours but not later than 6 hours before the train’s departure;

only full cost of ticket, if the ticket not used for the journey is returned less than 6 hours but not later than 1 hour after the train’s departure from the passenger’s boarding station; 


   

Service fee is fully refunded, if the journey was not started.

Transfer of the refund is done to the bank account, from which by a payment card was made the payment of the fare.

If all the orders of the cart (hotel and car rent included) are cancelled – the money is returned within 10 days starting from the moment of executing the return of e-ticket.

If it is a partial return – the money is returned within 10 days starting from the latest order receiving date.

To refund the ticket not used for the journey, a passenger, whose personal data is indicated in the order confirmation, by presenting the order confirmation and person identifying document, has to visit LDZ ticket office.

RETURN OF THE TICKET AT THE TICKET OFFICE OF ANOTHER COUNTRY

When the passenger turns to the ticket office of another country which is situated on the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Turkmenistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ukraine, Georgia, the Republic of Lithuania or the Republic of Lithuania, and presents the ticket not used for the journey, the return of seat in the Express ACS takes place.

For the following transfer to the payment card of refund for the ticket not used for the journey, it is necessary to visit LDZ ticket office that performs return of tickets not used for the journey, at any time before the train’s departure or in a month time starting from the moment of the train departure, and to submit the ticket not used for the journey together  with the additional document issued by the Express ACS, which certifies the return of seats, as well as the document that identifies passenger’s or payer’s identity. When the mentioned period is over, the refund is done in a claim procedure – a written application must sent to “LDZ Cargo” Ltd international passenger department located at Dzirnavu Street 147, k-1, Riga, Latvia, LV – 1050. Together with the application, the ticket not used for the journey and the additional document issued by the Express ACS, which certifies the return of seat, must be sent.

If the return of the seat from the ticket not used for the journey to the Express ACS is performed at the ticket office of another country, by a manual technology (by making a note of a railway indicating return of seats to sale), the refund is carried out in a claim procedure. Together with the application, the ticket not used for the journey and the additional document issued by the Express ACS, which certifies the return of seat, must be sent.

GROUP TICKETS

If a group ticket is not used, passenger may submit the ticket back to ticket office and get the refund:

  • cost of ticket and cost of cost of berth/place card, if not later than 7 days prior to train departure;
  • cost of ticket and 50% of cost of berth/place card, if after 7 days but not later than 3 days prior to train departure;
  • only cost of ticket, if 3 days prior, but not later than 1 hour prior to train departure.

 

Service fee is fully refunded, if the journey was not started.

ILLNESS OR ACCIDENT

PAPER TICKET

If the passenger cannot take the journey due to illness or accident, he/she has to visit a ticket office to put a note on the ticket. This must be done in ten days after the illness is over according to the certifying documents of a medical institution. To get the ticket refunded it is required to send a written application together with a paper ticket (with a note) and certifying documents of a medical institution. The address: LDZ CARGO Ltd., Dzirnavu Street 147, k-1, Riga, Latvia, LV- 1050. The cost of berth/place card is not returned in this case – only the cost of ticket is refunded.

 E-TICKET

If due to illness or accident the passenger cannot collect paper ticket at LDZ ticket office, to get the refund, the passenger has to send a written application together with an order confirmation paper and certifying documents of a medical institution. The address: LDZ CARGO Ltd., Dzirnavu Street 147, k-1, Riga, Latvia, LV- 1050.

The cost of berth/place card is not returned in this case – only the cost of the ticket is refunded.

Service fee is fully refunded, if the journey was not started.
